Paving work will include a variety of detailed repair and construction tasks and specifications that have pre-established unit prices listed in a Unit Price Book (UPB). The UPB pricing incorporates the use of experienced labor, high quality materials, local activity, climate, and geographic factors. All Work pursuant to this Contract will be performed for the City of San Diego. Work will involve for City related streets the placement of asphalt concrete, Slurry Seal and concrete panel installation, replacing traffic signal detection loops and stub outs, adjustment of city manholes, gate valve covers, and survey monuments, reconstruction of concrete encasement for manholes, gate valves or survey monuments, cold milling, pavement base repair, installation of curb ramps and retaining curb/wall to meet ADA requirements, pedestrian barricade installation, relocation or installation of pedestrian push buttons and posts, Remove and Reinstall Traffic Signs, Protective Railing sidewalk replacement, curb and gutter replacement, cross gutter replacement, driveway replacement, bus pad installation, street and sidewalk sweeping, tree trimming, tree root pruning, tree removal, replace traffic striping and markings/legends, community liaison services, encroachment permits, storm drain inlet protection and the installation of inlet markers, sediment control in a JOC Task Order RFP. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
