The County of Scott is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the replacement of the roof at the Judge's Office located at 180 West Jackson St., Gate City, Virginia. The project involves the replacement of an approximately 1500 sq. ft. open gable roof with two dormers, featuring a 7/12 - 8/12 pitch. Scope of Work: - Removal and disposal of the existing roofing materials. - Inspection and replacement of any damaged or rotted sheathing (to be priced per piece). - Installation of a cricket at the existing chimney to prevent water pooling. - Installation of drip edge and ice shield to protect from water infiltration. - Laying of underlayment as a secondary barrier against water. - Installation of high-quality 50-year 3-tab shingles. - Addition of eave vents to ensure proper attic ventilation.
