Port Tampa Bay (PTB) is advertising for Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified Respondents interested in providing Engineering consultant services for the next phase of Port Tampa Bay’s Eastport omniport development on an as-needed basis as defined by the Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA). The projects consist of planning, designing, and permitting land reclamation (fill) of approximately 9.6 acres of area for expansion of an existing cargo terminal, design of a 275’ extension of an existing wharf, new upland infrastructure including grading, paving, drainage, utilities, and associated mooring and berthing infrastructure (fenders, bollards, etc.) marine and site lighting. Permits are in place from local, state, and federal agencies and may need to be modified for this proposed scope. Port Tampa Bay has mitigated for the associated impacts. Project will be funded with PTB funds along with state and federal grants. The existing cargo yard is accessed through a driveway connecting to State Road 45 (Causeway Boulevard) and may need to be evaluated for additional turn lane(s) and traffic signal in the future. The selected team is expected to provide services included but not limited to topographic and hydrographic survey, civil engineering, marine structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental science/biology, coastal engineering, transportation planning/engineering, and electrical engineering.
