In general, this work consists of: Surface preparation of the wet interior surfaces of the 500,000-gallon elevated storage tank including abrasive blasting to near-white metal cleanliness, and removal and surface preparation of the air vents; Coating of the wet interior surfaces including the wet interior piping, ladder, and air vents. Surface preparation of the exterior surfaces of the 500,000-gallon elevated storage tank including abrasive blasting to near-white metal cleanliness, including removal of LifeGuard Active Rust Primer, and 100 percent containment. Installation of welded steel patches over damaged areas due to blasting as directed by engineer. The Clear Lake City Water Authority logo shall be painted on both sides of the tank as part of the exterior recoating to match the existing logos. The Contractor shall take all necessary measurements and pictures required to replace the existing Clear Lake City Water Authority logos prior to blasting the exterior of the elevated storage tank. Repair and coat the space where floating riser meet roof. Ensure proper sealing or screening between outside of tank and wet interior. Removal and Replacement of fill line piping, butterfly valves and gate valve, overflow line piping, drain line piping, flange and bolts for double gooseneck vent, and roof access hatch. Surface preparation and coating of all fill and overflow line piping, drain line piping, the roof access hatch, gooseneck air vent, butterfly valves, and gate valve, shown in Appendix D. Install 6-inch thick reinforced concrete driveway pavement, including 6-inch thick cement stabilized sand subgrade, and removal and disposal of existing pavement, in locations as shown in Appendix C. Remove and replace barbed wire chain link fencing and 16-foot barbed wire chain link double swing gate in locations as shown in Appendix C. Disinfection in accordance with Section 9800, site restoration and site cleanup. Supplemental items such as engaging a pre-approved Structural Engineer to design replacement of pipe penetrations for overflow and fill line pipes, and removal and replacement of pipe penetrations for overflow and fill lines. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
