The work associated with this project generally consists of, but is not limited to, the following: • Measure the existing scale pit, scale deck, and other dimensions to ensure proper fit for the replacement scale and appurtences as described herein. • Provide a replacement 65’x10’, three-section scale deck (weigh bridge) with a steel deck, load cells, scale instrument, and four wired displays. • Remove and dispose of the existing scale. • Power wash the existing scale pit and drainage pipes. Clean the drainage sump of any debris. • Install the new scale, load cells, wiring, scale instrument, and displays. • Calibrate the system and ensure that the system is functioning properly. • Obtain scale certification from County Weights and Measures and obtain final building permit signoff from County Building Department. The Execution • Contractor will be required to visit the existing scale and inspect the pit and foundation piers to ensure a proper fit. An evaluation of the existing electrical conduits needed for installation shall be included. • Contractors shall be capable of removing the existing scale and arrangements shall be made in advance for its disposal. • Contractors shall be capable of installing the new scale, instrument, and displays over the course of a weekend, beginning at 12:00 p.m. on a Friday and completing the installation prior to the following Monday
