The meeting place will be at the Agency’s Administrative Office at 6500 W Avenue N, Palmdale, CA 93551. Following the a meeting, a site tour will be conducted at both of the project sites.

The Antelope Valley-East Kern Water Agency is seeking bids from experienced Contractors for the recoating of nine existing chemical tanks. The Agency is looking for a qualified Contractor perform surface preparation and recoating of the nine tanks in accordance with the project specifications (Appendix B) and summarized as follows: Pressure wash the tanks to remove all debris and loosen existing coating, Sand the surface of the entire tank. Care must be exercised to not sand heavily exposing the individual fiberglass fibers, Remove all sanding material from the tank surface prior to applying the primer, Mask off areas that are not to be painted, Apply Urethane Primer to the exterior of all tanks, Apply Aliphatic Polyurethane Topcoat to the exterior of all tanks, Contractor is responsible for protecting all fittings, tank levels, instrumentation, etc. from coating material, and Contractor is responsible for all cleanup to restore site back to original condition.
