This project will be replacing, upgrading, or supplementing existing (IP) security, movement and surveillance cameras in and around the Marin County Juvenile Hall with IP cameras. The Current system is also integrated with the door control, intercom and movement systems, which provide camera views to the control room operator as door control buttons are activated. The replacement system will also provide this functionality. Currently there are approximately 85 cameras in and around the Juvenile Hall Facility. In addition to replacing these cameras at selected locations, the County would like to install up to 15‐17 additional cameras in the Visitation, Mental Health, library/sensory spaces, various dead spot areas. The recording system shall be capable of recording all video 24 hours a day, seven days a week from all cameras. The system shall have enough storage to store footage for 365 days. The system will be able to accommodate the assignment of various recording schedules for any camera including set schedules, motion‐sense recording, and manual instant start or stop recording. This project will include replacing the current control panel with touch screen technology and equipment linking the control panel to the cameras, doors, intercoms, and electrical outlets in the areas.
