This project, located at the Belmont Library, 1110 Alameda de las Pulgas, Belmont, CA 94002, will include the painting of interior walls and replacement of flooring, carpet, and tile. All materials and equipment must be provided by the selected contractor. Time is of the essence with this project as the Library will be closed during renovations. The work will include: 1. Painting approximately 22,000 sq. ft. of interior walls a. Supplying/applying Sherwin Williams or equivalent paint b. Painting walls, doors, and railings c. Use of scaffolding or mobile ladders to reach higher surfaces d. Moisture testing to ensure proper paint application and drying e. Sealing all cracks and holes in walls; repairing/patching larger areas as needed f. Applying 1 coat of primer to all identified surfaces g. Applying 2 coats of finish paint to all identified surfaces h. Painting two walls with accent colors approved by the City prior to starting work 2. Replacing approximately 19,000 sq. ft. of flooring, carpet, and tile a. Moisture testing to ensure proper carpet installation and adhesion b. Plastic sheeting to protect library assets and work area c. Providing floor protection where necessary d. Removing and disposing of all existing flooring (carpet and tiles) in work area e. Prepping floor surfaces for installation of new carpet tiles and resilient flooring f. Purchasing/installing electrical covers (see attached spec) or blanking plates g. Purchasing/installing cushion backing for carpet tile per manufacturer specs h. Purchasing/installing new flooring (see attached specs and layout plan) per manufacturer specs i. Purchasing/installing transitions and base boards as needed per manufacturer specs j. Providing a 5-year warranty for all work Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
