The Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (SBA) is planning to improve the pavement of three taxiways; Taxiway E “Echo” (formerly B “Bravo”); Taxiway A3 “Alpha 3” (formerly F “Foxtrot”); Taxiway A5 “Alpha 5” (formerly P “Papa”). SBA seeks to employ engineering design services to determine the most appropriate and economic pavement repairs specific for each taxiway ranging from minimal rehabilitation, such as a slurry seal coat to full depth reconstruction. A geotechnical investigation may be required to fully evaluate the current pavement condition and select the most suitable type of pavement repair. The selected pavement repairs should also coincide with SBA’s preferred future development as referenced in the Master Plan Concept (Attachment 3), which was produced from SBA’s current Master Plan Update.
