A severe storm caused heaved debris to flow throughout various waterways. As debris accumulated, the bridge was inundated and damaged. The original embankment will be re-established by removing 65 CY of sediment and other debris. 37 CY of debris will be removed from around the Pier. Activities will involve digging 3 feet under the Pier 2 footing to clear mud and muck. 286 CY of backfill will be placed at the slope and between pier 2 and 3 to reestablish the grade. As a mitigation measure against erosion, 197 CY of Class II PA-09-4699-PW00584-PN743300 Page 2 of 2 rock slope protection and 296 of rock slope protection fabric will be placed at GPS: (36.423489, -119.143520). The purpose of the repairs is to restore the bridge embankment which will ensure residents and non-residents can travel safely over the bridge, especially during flood events.
