The applicant will use contract and force account for exterior repairs to restore the impacted area of Ave 184 back to its pre-disaster design, function, and capacity within the existing footprint, using Applicant preferred method of repairs and code and standards. The work planned consists of: PA-09-4699-PW00561-PN739818 Page 2 of 2 • Removal by structural excavation of 242.6 CY of failed materials from behind the west abutment, including asphalt, base-rock, and backfill; • Backfilling 200 CY of structural backfill an area 30 FT wide x 20 FT Long x 9 FT Deep from behind the abutment. • Placement of 33.3 CY of class II base-rock in an area 30 FT wide x 20 FT long x 1.5 FT Deep at West Approach • Replacement of 9.3 CY of asphaltic paving in an area 30 FT Wide x 20 FT long x 5 in Deep at the West Approach to the bridge; • Placement of 110 SY, Rock Slope Protection (RSP) fabric; • Installation of 51.9 CY, armor (1/4 Ton RSP) in two areas 25 LF long x 2 LF thick x 14 LF slope each at West Bridge Wing Walls.
