Complete removal of tree orchard from the awarded sites, including removal of all tree root balls. Any remaining roots protruding above ground after root ball removal shall also be cut and removed to a depth of 12-inches below grade. All surface irrigation materials shall be removed and piled for disposal by the Contractor. GRADING All disturbed areas from the removal of the orchard will be graded level with the natural grade. All holes will be filled and mechanically compacted to firm and unyielding. Orchard disking is an acceptable method of grading. WEED CONTROL Contractor shall perform weed abatement on the cleared site as tree removal work progresses. Weed abatement shall be accomplished through the use of disc harrow equipment, and other equipment to keep the site clear and tidy. Prior to performing the discing, the contractor shall removal all trash and debris. Weed abatement shall meet the requirement of the City of Visalia Municipal Code, Chapter 8.56, Weeds and Property Maintenance, Section 8.56.050 Public as enforced by the City’s Fire Chief, as described in Attachment 3. ORCHARD IRRIGATION The contractor is hereby notified of the presence of three (3) wells and a transportation pipeline in the area designated for the walnut orchard removal. Class A General Engineering Contractor license, or a 2024 Walnut Orchard Demo/Removal 2 combination of C licensing to perform all aspects of the work. C licenses may include C-61 Limited Specialty & D-49 Tree Service; C-12 Earthwork and Paving; others as applicable. Prevailing wages.
