The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals for the delivery and implementation of an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Systems Solution. Mount Dora is seeking requested information, description of services, and price quotes to implement a communication system to obtain data as well as have the ability to control and manage the meters. The City of Mount Dora has approximately 950 commercial and 6,100 residential electric meters and approximately 13,000 combined commercial and residential water meters which is spread across about seven square miles for electric and 23 square miles for water. This project will involve exchanging only all existing electric AMR drive-by read meters within the Electric Service territory with communications infrastructure established to adequately and reliably cover this area and capability to expand the communication to all water meters in the future. It is extremely critical the proposed AMI system have detail to explain integration in to the billing system and meter outage reporting capability. Mount Dora objective is to institute Smart Metering throughout the service territory utilizing managed service provider for the communication infrastructure and all related software. The City anticipates the following four (4) areas of concentration in the project, and apprehends the order these areas are listed does not represent the sequence necessary for successful project integration.
