The City of Winter Haven (CITY) is interested in receiving qualifications from experienced design-build teams for the delivery and furnishing of all necessary materials, labor, equipment, and professional services for the design and construction of a new Building Division Customer Service Center at “Old Fire Station Number One” 551 Third Street NW, Winter Haven, FL 33881 (Old Fire Station Number One). Selective interior demolition has been completed. The estimated commencement for the project (design) is anticipated to start summer 2024 and Construction will commence immediately upon agreement on the design and Guaranteed Maximum Price. This design-build project is a redevelopment of the “Old Fire Station Number One” into a modern office and customer service area for the CITY’s Building Division operations. The CITY decommissioned Old Fire Station Number One and would like the building renovated to meet the demand for office space and general operations associated with the City of Winter Haven’s Building Division. Old Fire Station Number One has been demolished internally and is mostly an empty shell. Generally, the CITY is seeking to have the building renovated with offices, conference room, large training room, separate bathrooms for staff and customers, break room with small kitchen and a waiting/reception area with adequate space to accommodate a kiosk and provide excellent customer service. Prevailing wages.
