The work under this contract consists of excavation; handling, classifying and disposal of contaminated soils; full depth box widening; pavement milling; paving; constructing driveways, cement concrete sidewalks, cement concrete pedestrian curb ramps; hot mix asphalt shared use paths; removing and resetting existing granite curb; installing new curb; reconstruction of drainage systems; creation of level spreaders; relocation of water services and hydrants; lighting, providing and spreading loam borrow and seed; installation of traffic signal equipment, traffic signing and pavement markings, traffic control management, and other street improvements. The work also consists of the construction of two pedestrian hybrid beacons (PHB) signal systems at two locations and the full reconstruction of traffic signal systems at two (2) locations, complete with vehicle detection, emergency vehicle preemption, signal posts, signal heads, mast arms, strain pole with base and foundations, cabinets, foundations, pull boxes, electric handholes, service connections, and all other equipment, materials and incidental costs necessary to furnish, install and program a complete and functioning traffic control signal system as specified and as shown in the contract documents.
