The work to be performed under this Contract consists of bridge rehabilitation of substructure elements on bridges under the control of District 4 at multiple locations in the City of Medford. The Work includes, but is limited to, the following: 1) Traffic management of pedestrian and vehicular traffic to facilitate the proposed work and protect the public. 2) Cleaning of substructure concrete surfaces and bridge seats. 3) Selective removing of deteriorated and spalled concrete of bridge substructures including, but not limited to, piers, pier caps, pier columns, wing walls, backwalls, bridge seats, and abutments. 4) Jacking and shoring of superstructure and pier components to unload substructure elements and to relieve stresses in existing reinforcement to permit continuous joint free concrete repairs and expedite the overall project schedule. 5) Replacing excavated, spalled, delaminated, or deteriorated concrete, and replacing of any broken, missing or deteriorated reinforcing steel with new material. 6) Concrete crack repairs to various bridge substructure elements. 7) Repairs to deteriorated columns with damage to reinforcement confinement utilizing fiber reinforced polymer wrapping. 8) Application of protective concrete coatings. 9) Limited work over water via barge or inspector truck which shall be incidental to the work being performed. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
