The work under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the superstructure replacement of Bridge No. F-04-018 on Water Street (Route 12) over the North Nashua River, the bridge replacement and widening of Bridge No. F-04-017 on Water Street (State 2A) over Boulder Drive and PanAM Railroad, and other incidental items required to complete the work as shown on the Plans, as specified herein, and as required by the Engineer. Contractor shall note, PanAm Southern is jointly owned by CSX Corporation and Norfolk Southern Railway. PanAM Southern is independently operated by Berkshire and Eastern Railroad, a subsidiary of Genesee & Wyoming. MBTA Fitchburg Commuter Rail Lines also runs trains along this track out to the Wachusett station southwest of Fitchburg Project limits (length and stations) are included on the title sheet of the plans. The proposed work will increase the expected design life of the two bridges and enhance safety to all roadway users. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
