This project includes but is not limited to the replacement of the following electrical homerun circuits: 1331 E, 1331 W, 1331 CL, 1331 RDR, Circuit 10, Circuit 14, Circuit 21, Circuit GS, Circuit 6, Circuit 15, Circuit 422 E, Circuit 7, Circuit 8, Circuit 9 and Circuit 11. Prior to the initiation of the cable replacement process the contractor will have to coordinate with airport maintenance and operations to identify and verify the homerun circuit conductors’ route and split points which are shown in the contract drawings. Homerun conductors for circuits 13-31 E and 13-31 W will be combined at the split point to create a single circuit for Runway 13-31 edge lighting. Homerun conductors for circuit 7 and circuit 8 will be combined at the split point to create a single circuit called circuit 7. The construction contract will result in modifications to the Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring Systems to properly reflect the combination of circuits 1331 E and 1331 W, and the combination of circuits 7 and 8. Touchscreen modifications will include revisions to the touchscreen push buttons as well as the color-coded representation of the circuits on the airfield. In order to bid this project, the bidder shall be pre-qualified under one (1) of the following NJDOT Class Codes and/or NJDPMC Trade Codes at the time of submission: • NJDPMC Trade Code C008 – General Construction • NJDPMC Trade Code C009 – General Construction/Alterations & Additions • NJDPMC Trade Code C047 – Electrical • NJDOT Class Code 5 Heavy Highway • NJDOT Class Code 7 – Electrical. In addition to the bidder prequalification, any subcontractor performing the work on the project shall be prequalified, as applicable, under the following NJDPMC Trade Code(s) and/or NJDOT Class Code(s) at the time of submission. • NJDPMC Trade Code C047 – Electrical* • NJDOT Class Code 7 Electrical*. SBE Goal: 25% or Good Faith Effort documentation. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
