The purpose of this Bid Solicitation is to solicit Quotes for the recycling and disposal of light iron, steel, aluminum, cooper, stainless steel, brass, lead, lead acid batteries, crushed steel drums, and other surplus scrap metal through a rebate program. This Bid Solicitation consists of twenty one (21) price lines, which are grouped and itemized by region, Northern, Central & Southern. For each region the following price lines apply: 1. Steel Scrap HMS 1&2 High Side MB-STE-0418; 2. Aluminum Mixed Clips High Side MB-AL-0028; 3. Copper No. 2 Heavy Copper & Wire High Side MB0CU-0304; 4. Stainless Steel 304, Solids, Clips High Side MB-STS-0255; 5. Lead Batteries Undrained, Whole Old Batteries High Side MB-PB-0112; 6. Brass Yellow Brass Solids High Side MB-CU-0421; 7. Heavy Soft Lead High Side MB-PB-0111. The State intends to make one (1) award per region. Bidders must bid on all price lines contained within a group (Northern Region price lines 1 - 7, Central Region price lines 8 -14, Southern Region price lines 15 – 21) in order to be considered responsive for that group. This Bid Solicitation includes an evaluation preference for those Bidders who are registered as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) with the Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services, Small Business Registration and M/WBE Certification Services Unit as of the Quote Opening Date.
