The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Provide two (2) air-cooled, downflow, computer room air-conditioning units located in the server room with associated roof-mounted, air-cooled condensers located on the roof. The CRAC units will be provided with ICOM Microprocessor control with touch screen display, supply fans, premium efficiency motor, refrigerant piping, infrared humidifier, downflow supply turning vane, high temperature sensor, smoke detector, adjustable floor stand, top return with MERV 8 filters, stainless steel drain pan, condensate pump, and a leak detection. 2. Interface all new mechanical equipment with the existing automatic temperature control (ATC) system including but not limited to control valves, dampers, etc. All controllers, actuators, thermostats, sensors, relays, transformers, conduit, and wire shall be included serving each device indicated for a complete, fully operational control system including extension of existing control system with associated graphics and programming. Each device shall be provided with functional testing to ensure proper operation. 3. The project shall include all associated building penetrations, piping, specialties, insulation, electric power, controls, steel, concrete, curbs, equipment startup, testing and balancing, ceiling tile and grid etc. 4. Provide demolition of associated existing systems scheduled to minimize business interruption. Demolition of temporary air-conditioning systems (spot-coolers) shall be scheduled only after new computer-room air-conditioning units are operating and commissioned. 5. Provide removal of associated ceiling and raised floor tiles, grid, lighting fixtures to allow for proper installation of the HVAC scope. Provide storage, protection and reinstallation upon completion of the HVAC scope. Damaged ceiling and raised floor tiles and grid shall be replaced to match existing as required. 6. All electrical shutdowns, steel erection, major equipment delivery, and rigging shall be completed outside normal working hours on overtime and all associated cost shall be included in the contractors. 7. Refer to drawings and specifications dated June 28, 2023, for additional requirements. All bidders must be classified with DPMC with one of the following trades: General Construction (C008) or General Construction / Alterations & Additions (C009). Bidder must be classified themselves or name their classified subcontractor(s) for the following trades: Structural Steel & Ornamental Iron (C029) Plumbing (C030) HVACR (C032) Electrical (C047). This contract includes a goal of awarding 25 percent of the total contract value to a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) at either the prime or subcontract level. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
