The City of Georgetown is requesting proposals from qualified Proposers with substantial and relevant experience and expertise to plan, design, and install the City’s new primary IT data center. In the Year 2023, Georgetown voters approved bond funds to construct a new Customer Service Center (CSC) that will house multiple City departments and act as a hub for customers to interact with City departments. The design phase of the new building began in April 2024, with design and construction being completed over the subsequent two years. Current plans include the relocation of the IT Department and the City’s primary IT Data Center to the new CSC. The Proposer will be expected to plan and design the new data center in coordination with the City’s Facilities and IT Departments, as well as architectural and engineering consultants leading the design and construction of the new building.
