It is the intent of this “RFP” to secure a qualified vendor to perform lead paint hazard removal and general remodeling services on an as needed basis at various locations within the City of Danville. Company supervisor and workers are to be licensed and trained in Lead Abatement and Renovation, Repairs, and Painting (RRP) per EPA, HUD, and DPOR requirements. Contractors must also meet conditions set forth by the City of Danville. General contracting duties to include remodeling homes, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, landscaping, and concrete work. Work outside of Lead Abatement and RRP can be completed by subcontractors at the responsibility of the general contractor. Any work performed must strictly adhere to current building code and trade practices. Any required work permit including building permits are the sole responsibility of the general contractor. This contract will be for one year with the option to renew for four additional one-year periods. This project may be awarded to multiple contractors if found to be most advantageous to the City. Prices will be determined per job and must be approved by the project manager prior to the start of work.
