The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as “VDOT”) is soliciting bids from ready-mix concrete plants, which are VDOT approved, to provide on-call, as needed hydraulic cement concrete (ready-mix concrete) to various work locations/routes within Christiansburg residency the counties of Montgomery, Giles and Pulaski in the Salem District, including all towns and cities where routes are maintained by VDOT. Based on past experience and performance, it has been identified that VDOT needs to have ready-mix concrete available to handle various repairs in numerous locations. Therefore, it is VDOT’s intent to establish multiple contracts to ensure that ready-mix concrete is available when needed at a reasonable cost, on time, and within close proximity to work locations.
