The City of Hampton is seeking bids from qualified bidders to provide for the construction of the Fort Monroe Training Facility. Scope: Renovation of an existing 1-story, approx. 36,000 SF building and construction of a 1-story 4,018 SF addition to provide a training facility with a 25-meter firing range, a 75 yard firing range and associated support spaces. The training facility will be used by the City of Hampton Police Department and Langley Air Force Base personnel. The existing building was constructed in 1985 and served as an Army Exchange Facility. Major structural modifications are required in order to provide an open, column free area for the firing ranges. MBE goal 4.34%. Bonds required.
