The City of Suffolk has issued this sealed Request for Proposal (RFP) for the sole purpose of obtaining responsive proposals from qualified firms to provide architectural and engineering services related to projects for the Department of Parks and Recreation. Scope of Work Although the final terms and tasks of the contract will be subject to negotiation, work may include, but is not limited to, the following basic components: • Research and field investigation • Preliminary assessments and feasibility studies • Presentations to regulatory and/or funding authorities • Surveying • Design (including master planning and landscape design) • Preparation of bid documentation, plans and specifications • Attendance at pre-bid conferences and bid openings • Attendance at pre-construction conferences • Evaluation of bids • Grant/contract administration • Construction contract administration and site inspection • Coordination of change orders and project closeout • Regulatory approvals and permits • Easement sketches • Review of invoices • Periodic site inspection • Preparation of record drawings • Environmental assessments • Creation of various manuals (standards, maintenance, etc.) • Professional GIS services to include, but not limited to: asset data, capture/creation, geospatial analysis and visual presentation.
