The City of Virginia Beach is requesting proposals for a one (1) year contract with four (4) one (1) year renewal options to provide a 20 minute, July 4th firework show that creates four (4) scenes: the opening, the body, the false finale and the grand finale. Each scene shall be a mini-finale that includes some special effects that will create a crescendo to the “grand” finale. The show shall constantly have shells in the air, with no dead air time. Although the majority of the show needs to be high level, a variety of low level special effects are required/desired for the enjoyment of those in attendance at the park. The City requires the show to be fired electronically; the Contractor must submit a letter that states that the show will be fired electronically. The show will be synchronized with music, which can be provided by the City or arranged by contractor with approval from the City. MBE goal 12%.
