General summary of work: Pick up parts from Priest Rapids Dam and transport them to the Contractor’s machine shop. Perform witnessed as-found inspections of certain parts, record all data on provided check sheets, and submit all the data to the District. Submit a Setup and Machining Plan to the District based on the as-found inspection data. Perform journal and flange face machining operations as shown in the Contract Documents and as directed by the District. Certain critical dimensions will be provided by the District. Perform bearing doweling operations including drilling, reaming, and tack welding properly coordinated with related machining operations. Perform all babbitt bearing machining operations. Certain critical dimensions that depend on the final machined dimensions of mating components will be provided by the District. Machine new bronze seal rings. Certain critical dimensions that depend on the final machined dimensions of mating components will be provided by the District. Perform witnessed final inspection of all required parts and submit all inspection data to the District. Receive approval to ship the parts and then ship all completed parts back to Priest Rapids Dam. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
