The City of Chehalis is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to provide professional engineering services for the Market Boulevard Water Main Replacement and Pump Station Improvement Project. Respondents must demonstrate expertise with all aspects of water main engineering design, land surveying, and public involvement, for an infrastructure replacement project in both commercial and residential neighborhoods, that lie within the city limits and urban growth area. The Project will include work within rights-of-way under the maintenance of the city of Chehalis and jurisdiction of both the City and Lewis County. The South Market Boulevard water main, from SW 11th Street to SW 21st Street is 8” diameter cast iron and was constructed in the 1950’s. This section of the distribution line needs to be upsized to provide proper fire flow and pressure to the City’s Southern UGA. Approximately 5,000 lineal feet of water main will need to be replaced with new ductile iron or PVC pipe.
