This RFQ represents the first step of a two-step procurement process for the City’s Outdoor Multipurpose Stadium Project. The City anticipates that the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) will be issued in late 2024, and the Mayor and City Council will select a stadium development option – Funko Field renovation/expansion or a new downtown stadium – in late 2024 or early 2025. Funko Field Renovation and Expansion. The Everett School District-owned Funko Field would be renovated and expanded, and Memorial Stadium and the School District Administration Building would remain. The site is approximately 7 acres in size. The 0.77-acre property at the southwest corner of Broadway and 38th Street would likely need to be acquired. The existing facility would be renovated to meet the new MLB facility standards required for a High-A MiLB stadium and could also accommodate other programs such as concerts and large community events. Vehicular access and parking would remain largely unchanged. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
