Seeking engineering firms interested in providing professional design services to the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department for the Harris Avenue Multimodal Improvements (ES579). The Harris Avenue Multimodal Improvements project will replace or upgrade water, sewer and stormwater utilities from 12th Street to 24th Street in the Fairhaven and Happy Valley neighborhoods within the City of Bellingham. This project will include new pedestrian and bicycle facilities and resurfacing and rechannelization throughout the corridor. A bike facility study from 4th Street to 14th Street will be included to guide the proposed rechannelization. Services, including professional engineering services, and construction engineering and/or administration, may be added/removed from the contract contingent upon funding availability and project needs. This project is funded through City of Bellingham utility and street funds.
