The West Virginia Department of Transportation, Division of Highways (DOH) invites bids for the Youth Camp Girder Bridge Replacement in Upshur County. This project will replace the existing Youth Camp Girder Bridge that carries Youth Camp Road over the North Fork of the Buckhannon River in Upshur County, WV. The new single span bridge will consist of three (3) 30x211 steel rolled beams for an out-to-out width of 17’-6”. The bridge will support a single lane of traffic with a clear with of 15’-0”. The existing bridge will be demolished, and new abutments will be constructed behind the existing abutments. The proposed span length is 75’-0”. Due to the existing abutments being in the waterway of the river, they will be removed so that hydraulic conditions can be improved with the new bridge. Slope protection will be provided in front of both abutments. DBE goal 7%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
