TriMet is requesting bids for construction services including all labor, equipment, materials and supervision necessary to perform the work as follows: This project consists of two lines of work: • Remove and replace select timber members on three trestles. Contractor will need to demonstrate qualification for work on freestanding structures that are not directly accessible other than by rail itself. Qualification includes but not limited to appropriate equipment, competent personnel, and demonstrable safety record. • Replacement of the Nebraska Crossing includes new rail, crossing panel, drainage, hardscape signage and striping. The City of Portland Public Works Permit has been procured, the Portland Parks and Recreation Non Parks Use Permit will be advanced to a draft stage; the contractor will finalize the permit based on their methodology. The ODOT crossing order is in process, NTP on the Nebraska crossing is contingent on issuance of the crossing order. The project is comprised of four individual locations: • The Short and Long Trestles are approximately ¼ mile apart and are near 113xx South Riverwood Road, Portland OR 97219 • The Nebraska crossing is located at the entry to Willamette Park at 6500 S Macadam Ave, Portland, OR 97219. • The Jones trestle is located near the intersection of South Boundary St and South Landing Drive, access via private gate. Work must be completed prior to the opening of service for the 2024 trolley operations season. Substantial completion June 24, 2024; final completion August 23, 2024. Question submission close date 11/7/2023 2:00 pm. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
