For purposes of this Contract, Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, supervision, and incidentals necessary to maintain, repair, or replace Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) at all VTA sites for up to seven (7) years. This equipment is critical in maintaining VTA operations during power outages or other natural disasters that would affect VTA's power supply. In particular, this equipment is the bridge between Pacifica Gas & Electric and the emergency generators. This equipment bridges the gap between any power failure and the generators starting up allowing VTA to maintain continuity with critical electrical equipment and operational computer systems. The Work will be conducted within an operating rail yard and adjacent to and within existing shop facilities. This Work will be subject to restrictions to ensure safety and the continuing operations of the yard and shop and the light rail system. SBE goal is 4%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
