The Yuba County Water Agency (Agency), on behalf of Yuba County and other jurisdictions, is issuing a request for proposals (RFP) in search of qualified contractors to provide a proposal for the purchase of materials, from a list of bill of materials, construct and fabricate a guard rail according to Technical Specifications for the Colgate Powerhouse Unit 1 & 2 Generator Air Housing Fall Mitigation Railing. TASK 1 – Review the attached drawings and specifications TASK 2 – Prepare and submit submittals for the following • Manufacturer shop drawings. These drawing sets must uniquely number each component. All items manufactured for Unit 1 shall have C1 as the first two digits, and all items manufactured for unit 2 shall have C2 as the first two digits. The numbers on these drawings will need to be clearly displayed on the final delivered hardware. Shop drawings must be approved by Yuba Water Agency prior to the authorization of fabrication. • Material test reports for all materials used in the manufacturing process • Weld procedure for all welding process to be utilized • Weld inspection plan • Production schedule. The production schedule must contain at a minimum: material lead time, fabrication times, and final delivery time TASK 3 – Manufacture the handrail systems • Yuba water agency will conduct at least 2 progress inspections and will require 48 hours advanced notice. The inspections should be spaced at the midway point during fabrication and the completion of fabrication • The completion of fabrication shop inspection should have the assembly fully assembled and “mocked up” at the fabricators location. Exact elevation profiles do not need to be precisely hit, but the radial dimensions need to be inspectable. TASK 4 – Deliver to New Colgate Powerhouse • Deliver each assembly via separate trucks to Colgate powerhouse at 12700 Lake Francis Rd. Dobbins CA 95935 TASK 5 – Submit all as built reports
