The Glendora Avenue main water line replacement and paving project is included in the FY 24-25 CIP list. The Improvements will extend from Gladstone Street to Route 66. Glendora Avenue, a four-lane divided Collector Road, includes a truck route segment between Baseline Avenue and Route 66., as section within the limits of the project. The right of way for this road is approximately 80-feet wide and 82-feet in one section. The width of the street from centerline to curb face varies in general from approximately 32 to 30-feet. The current Pavement Management Program (PMP) rates the road segment from Route 66 to south of the flood control channel with a PCI of zero to 40 (very poor), and the segment from south of the channel to Gladstone Street with a PCI of 41-59 (poor). The proposed improvement within this segment, will adhere to the city's complete street’s philosophy. The Glendora water line replacement and street improvements will entail traffic signals modifications, street signage, paving, sidewalks, and ADA-compliant ramps to enhance community accessibility. The Water Line itself includes replacement of existing fire hydrant, water services, check valves and sample stations at the direction of the Water Department. This project is complex and requires extensive coordination with various stakeholders.
