In general, the work consists of the fence installation and repair at the Fairfield Osborn Preserve (FOP). We are requesting a bid for the installation of a section of a boundary fence, repairing 14 locations on the existing fence line, and the installation of a hog panel barrier for the fire camera on-site. Additionally, we are requesting an additional alternate to the base bid for the installation of temporary electric cattle fencing. The material specifications and work specifications are outlined below. Please provide a breakdown of costs for boundary fence installation, fence repair, hog panel installation, and temporary electric cattle fencing installation. Install 3,131 feet of new five-strand barbed wire cattle fence (Figure 2 - orange line), including line bracing, corner bracing, and wildlife crossings, Repair 14 locations on existing fence, Install 10 16-foot hog panels stabilized by T-posts and fasteners to protect a hilltop fire camera and solar installation (Figure 2 - red dot with black dotted line barrier), and An on-site monitor (no cost to contractor) will be present to ensure no damage to cultural resources. Add Alternate: Install a total of ~4,999.19 feet of temporary electric cattle fencing creating two segments (Figure 2 - black dotted line) one ~3,326.77 feet in length and the other ~1,672.42 feet in length. DVBE goal is 3%. Prevailing wages.
