Galaxy All‐Abilities Park will be a 1.29‐acre all‐abilities park adjacent to the new Fort Bend County Annex Building in Sugar Land, Texas. Designed to cater to individuals of all ages and abilities, this space‐themed park will offer a variety of recreational opportunities while ensuring full accessibility and community engagement. The park’s design includes two distinct thematic zones, each carefully designed to provide age‐ appropriate and inclusive play experiences. The Children’s Zone will offer play equipment, such as climbers and rocket‐themed structures, encouraging both physical activity and imaginative play. The smaller Toddler Zone will feature age‐appropriate play structures, sensory elements, and interactive installations, all inspired by space exploration. Both zones will be fully accessible, with equipment designed to accommodate various physical and cognitive abilities. Concrete pathways will establish connectivity between the various elements of the park, connecting to the Annex Building, the existing Annex parking lot, the public sidewalk, and north into the Imperial District bayou trail network. These pathways will meet all accessibility requirements and ensure smooth and safe navigation for all visitors, including those using wheelchairs or other mobility aids. The park will also include a large shade sail pavilion, providing a central gathering space for families and groups. This pavilion is designed to host small to medium‐sized gatherings, offering a comfortable, shaded area for picnics, social events, and relaxation including accessible picnic tables beneath the pavilion sails. Accessible bench seating will be strategically placed throughout the park. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
