The proposed project involves the demolition of existing Dune Boardwalk #3, including the removal of all associated materials and apparatus. Following the demolition, Dune Boardwalk #3 shall be rebuilt entirely by the contractor. For Dune Boardwalks #1 and #7, the project includes the removal of existing pressure-treated (P.T.) wood from the handrails and walking surfaces, which will be replaced with IPE wood of matching size. Additionally, at Dune Boardwalk #7, matching tubular railings will be installed to extend the boardwalk. The project also includes minor site work to restore the area, which will involve adding matching sand, grass, and shrubs. The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks: installation of new IPE wood (first grade) to match the existing size, handrailing installation, site restoration, and removal of existing wood. The contractor will be responsible for purchasing and installing all materials required for the project. This is a lump sum project, and all work depicted on the plans must be completed. The provided bid schedule represents a quantification of the work to be completed. Any additional items as specified in the drawings must be included in the lump sum bid. Bonds required.
