The purpose of this project is to address, mitigate and reduce interior noise levels to 45 decibels (dB) DNL and reduce existing noise levels by a minimum of 5 dB from noise created by aircraft operations. Mitigation treatment involves the procurement and installation of OITC rated doors and windows, mechanical and electrical modifications, hazardous materials abatement for single family homes and multi family units within habitable spaces. The work generally consists of sound insulation treatments for up to 37 residential properties in close proximity to Tucson International Airport, Tucson, AZ. The scope of work for each unit may include but is not limited to; window and door replacement, HVAC system installation and associated electrical work, insulation, and finish carpentry and painting. 7% DBE goal. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
