The existing overhead facilities along the south side of Hearst Avenue are to be placed underground to facilitate improvements associated with a new UCB Building that is being built on the south side of Hearst Ave. This work will involve the conversion of PG&E, AT&T and Comcast facilities. In order to remove the existing overhead lines, new underground facilities will need to be placed along Hearst Ave, LeConte Avenue and Arch Street. This will include the conversion of existing overhead services to 2300 LeConte Avenue, 2311 Hearst Avenue and 2315 Hearst Avenue. The underground substructures and all required conductors, copper, coax, and fiber wires will need to be installed and connected before the existing overhead lines can be removed. The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: “A” – General Engineering Contractor.
