The work to be done consists of, but is not limited to: a) Cured-In-Place Pipe Liner (Method "A") of approximately 6,375 linear feet of sanitary sewer pipe ranging in size from 20-inch to 45-inch diameter. b) Pipe Bursting (Method "B") or Traditional Open Trench (Method "C"), at the discretion of the Contractor, of approximately 285 linear feet of sanitary sewer pipe ranging in size from 8-inch to 20-inch diameter. c) Traditional Open Trench (Method "C") of approximately 575 linear feet of 24-inch diameter sanitary sewer mains. d) Reconstruction of all lower laterals, including lateral connections, approximately 387 linear feet, to the main and two-way cleanouts, and point (spot) repairs of sanitary sewer mains, approximately 327 feet of various pipe sizes. The work requires coordination with City and private property owners. e) Construction and rehabilitation of maintenance holes including excavation and related work. f) Preparing and implementing bypass plans to facilitate the work and to maintain uninterrupted sewer service during construction. g) Sanitary sewer work will be performed on streets subject to a paving moratorium. h) Cold planing existing asphalt, hot mix asphalt paving, and related work. i) Traffic Control Plans (TCP) shall prioritize pedestrian, bicycle, and bus facilities over vehicular traffic, in alignment with the City of Berkeley's policies. TCPs must follow the guidance and intent provided in APPENDIX 9. j) Caltrans Encroachment Permit conditions apply for work in the Adeline Street in the vicinity of Ashby Avenue (SR 13) intersection. BART permit conditions apply for work along Adeline Street and Shattuck Avenue. California Contractor License Classification required: A General Engineering, or C-34 Pipeline, or C-42 Sanitation System
