In general, the work to be performed under this contract includes the removal and replacement of the 64-foot-long Salem Street Bridge over Little Chico Creek. The new construction will generally involve building a single-span, cast-in-place bridge, along with new pavement approaches, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, wing walls, and updated signage and striping. At the time the City awards the contract for this project, the Contractor shall possess either a Class A Contractor License or a combination of classes required by the categories and types of work included in this contract. This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990.
