Seeking Engineering Design Professionals. The project is to upgrade the existing copper signal interconnect network with fiber optics cable for 60 existing signalized intersections back to the Town office and fiber connection to 8 operating Town buildings. The intent is to utilize the existing conduit system containing the copper interconnect and upgrade the overall infrastructure conduit and boxes, as needed. The Fiber Optic Communications Network Master Plan (Attachment B) will serve as the Town’s tool to define the essential components of the new fiber optic system and recommendations on how the town can take full advantage of the fiber optics backbone to pave way for the Smart City infrastructure.
