The 2007 Master Plan established a community-supported road map for providing high quality and well-managed parks and recreation facilities within Moraga by identifying current (at the time) and future recreation needs, providing the guidelines and strategies for success. Through a variety of outreach efforts within the Moraga community, The Town desires to build upon and update the 2007 Master Plan with a concise, user-friendly Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan that will establish a framework for decision-makers in the planning, programming, operation, protection, maintenance, and development of Moraga’s parks, open space, trails, and recreation facilities, while also promoting environmental stewardship and incorporating current ordinances and forward-looking strategies to accommodate future Town growth.
