The City of Alhambra is requesting a proposal for professional engineering design services for Professional Engineering Design Services for the Water Main Replacement Project on Concord Avenue, La Paloma Avenue, and Meridian Avenue. The four-inch cast iron water main pipes on La Paloma Avenue between Main Street and Concord Avenue and on Meridian Avenue between Main Street and Concord Avenue were installed in 1922. The six-inch cast iron water main pipe on Concord Avenue between Orange Grove Avenue and La Paloma Avenue was installed in 1923.The water main pipes have a history of breaks. This project replaces the existing four-inch and six-inch cast iron water mains with new 8” ductile iron water mains. The project is also including remove and replacing damaged sidewalk, curb/gutter and street pavement.
