The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District (District) issues a Request for Qualifications and Proposals (RFQ/P) to invite the submission of statement of qualifications and proposals (Response(s)) from contractors to perform preliminary (preconstruction) services and construction services for the District’s Samohi Student Services Building (Phase 4) Project pursuant to the lease-leaseback delivery method. The Samohi Student Services Building (Phase 4) Project includes the construction of a new 50,000 +/- sf building and adjacent hardscape and landscape improvements. This building will replace the existing Business Building located on sloping land with at grade entrances on three different levels. Construction includes considerable grading, permanent shoring, significant export of dirt, and various utility services. The building program consists of a Black Box Theatre, Theatre Lobby and Support spaces, Art Gallery and Art Storage, Six Classrooms, Student Activities (ASB) related spaces including Athletic Director, Campus Newspaper, Vikes’ Inn Retail, College Center, Student Outreach, Student Mental Health and Health and Wellness Services and Student Commons. The project will include rooftop solar. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
