Nevada County is seeking proposals from qualified firms to design and implement wayfinding signage and communication standards for multi-use pathways,trails and recreation access points throughout Nevada County in high-use and high-impact recreation areas to promote safety, education, and environmental stewardship. The County is looking for a firm (Proposer) with proven experience and expertise to successfully manage the project. The selected firm will be responsible for (1) conducting a needs analysis, (2) developing wayfinding and communication standards that comply with federal, state and local mandates, and (3) managing the design, production and installation of signage or managing a competitive process that engages other entities to design, produce, and install signage. The goal of this project is to improve access, safety and connectivity; enhance user navigation, and promote environmental stewardship in recreational areas throughout Nevada County (Eastern and Western Regions- Grass Valley, CA to Truckee, CA).
