The Chapman Avenue & Dale Street Water Improvements Project consists of constructing approximately 10,250 feet new 8-inch C-900 polyvinylchloride (PVC) water mains and the abandonment of existing undersized 4-inch and 6-inch diameter asbestos cement pipe (ACP) water mains in the unincorporated area of Orange County and the City of Stanton right of way. The construction will include the installation of fittings, gate valves, fire hydrants, water services and appurtenances, trenching, shoring, backfilling, compaction, asphalt repair and replacement, street replacement and pipe disinfection and testing. The project area extends adjacent to Saint Polycarp Catholic School and Church, commercial businesses and surrounding residential homes. Project phasing and work hours will be determined based on minimizing community impacts. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
