In accordance with plans and specifications prepared by Northwest Hydraulic Consultants and Gannett Fleming, the Work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, tax, equipment and services for the construction and completion of structural modifications at the Owner’s North Fork Long Canyon Diversion Dam and the South Fork Long Canyon Diversion Dam. Both dams are small concrete gravity dam structures which divert flows from the two upper forks of the Long Canyon Creek, into the Middle Fork Tunnel. This project includes precision structural demolition of existing concrete overflow spillways, diversion piping, and tunnel intake infrastructure to allow for major structural modifications including construction of a concrete approach apron, sediment maintenance gates, and tunnel intake modifications including concrete box culvert installation. The project will improve diversion and flow efficiency, sediment passage, downstream fish passage, and enhance aquatic and riparian habitat in the vicinity of the dams. Bonds required.
