The Zero Emissions Bus Depot (ZEBD) was completed in the summer of 2024 providing 30 full size bus spaces for electric buses and 72 light duty fleet vehicle parking spaces. These spaces were all designed as “EV Ready” with electrical infrastructure and switchgear provided to accommodate these spaces. Four rows of the full-size bus spaces are designed to accommodate shorter busses and vans for the purposes of optimizing the site’s flexibility and therefore can serve more than 30 vehicles. As part of the initial Zero Emissions Bus Depot project completed in June of 2024, of the 30 bus parking spaces, 9 were provided with 3 Power Charging Systems (PCS) and equipped with 9 Electric Vehicle Dispenser (EVD) Level 3 charging units. Of the 72 light duty parking spaces, 10 spaces were provided with Level 2 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS). The current project, know as the “Zero Emissions Bus Depot – Phase 2” (ZEBD 2), consists of the installation of 21 additional Level 3 - EVD units served by 6 PCS units and an overlapping 16 - Level 2 units in the same areas for the purposes of serving smaller bus transit vans.
